5 Ways Your Loved One Is Trying to Reach Out to Say They’re Proud of You from the Other Side

Losing my dad was one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through. He was my rock, my protector, and the person I could always turn to for advice. After he passed, I felt lost—like a part of me had been taken with him. I kept wondering: Is he still with me? Does he know how much I miss him? Would he be proud of the woman I’m becoming?
In my search for comfort, I reached out to a psychic—not out of desperation, but out of hope. I wanted some kind of sign that he was still watching over me. And what I discovered was more powerful than I ever expected. The psychic told me that our loved ones do try to reach out, often in ways we don’t always recognize at first. As I started paying attention, I realized that my dad had been sending me messages all along.
Here are five ways I believe he’s been showing me that he’s proud of me:
1. Dreams That Feel Like More Than Dreams
I’ve had dreams of my dad before, but after speaking to the psychic, I started noticing something different. Some dreams weren’t just memories replaying—they felt real. He’d appear, looking healthy and strong, and he wasn’t just there—he’d talk to me. He didn’t say anything complicated, just simple things like, I see you, I love you, I’m proud of you. When I woke up, I felt comforted instead of sad. It was like he had actually visited me, and deep down, I knew it wasn’t just my imagination.
2. That Sudden Feeling of His Presence
Sometimes, out of nowhere, I feel my dad’s presence so strongly that it stops me in my tracks. I could be sitting alone in my car, and suddenly, I get this overwhelming sense of warmth, like a hug I can’t explain. It’s usually when I’m doubting myself or facing something tough—almost as if he’s trying to tell me, You’ve got this. I’m with you.
3. Signs in Music, Numbers, and Everyday Life
The psychic told me to pay attention to small synchronicities—things that seem like coincidences but feel too perfect to ignore. My dad had a favorite song he’d always play in the car, and now, whenever I’m really missing him, I swear I hear it at the most random, yet meaningful, moments.
Then there are numbers. His birthday, his lucky number—somehow, I always see them on license plates, receipts, or my phone clock at just the right time. It’s like a quiet little Hey, I’m still here.
4. Finding Feathers & Coins
I used to think signs like finding feathers or pennies were just superstitions. But ever since the psychic mentioned them, I’ve found them in the strangest places—inside my apartment where they shouldn’t be, or right in my path on days when I really needed reassurance. I remember once, after a particularly hard day, I found a penny right outside my door with his birth year on it. I just stood there, staring, knowing in my heart it was him.
5. That Unexplainable “Push” Toward the Right Path
Since losing my dad, I’ve had moments where I’ve felt completely lost—unsure if I was making the right choices. But every now and then, when I’m about to give up on something important, I get this push—like a sudden gut feeling or a voice in my head telling me to keep going. It’s like my dad is still guiding me, reminding me of the strength he always saw in me.
The Comfort of Knowing He’s Still Here
Grief never fully goes away, but realizing my dad is still around in his own way has helped me heal. Whether you believe in the spirit world or not, I think love is too strong to just disappear. Maybe these signs are real, maybe they’re just coincidences—but I choose to believe they mean something. I choose to believe that he’s still with me, still proud of me, and still loving me from the other side.
And that thought alone gives me the strength to keep going.
